About Sligo, Ireland

Things to do in Sligo

Featured in the work and life of W.B. Yeats, Sligo celebrates the poet in several ways. You can visit his grave at the Church of Ireland cemetery in Drumcliff or study his works through lectures at Yeats Memorial Building, which also hosts an art gallery. A life-sized sculpture of Yeats stands across the Garavogue River.
