Hotel Okura Amsterdam Hotel

Went to Amsterdam for the end of the week and had an incredible time at the lodging. We were on the 21st floor and approached the official parlor and the pool and wellness zone. One of the features of our stay was the morning meal! A smorgasbord with a lot of alternatives. The servers were thoughtful, useful and speedy. I requested eggs Benedict and we additionally delighted in feathery hotcakes. Our room had as of late been remodeled and it was exquisite and agreeable. We likewise appreciated a beverage at the 23rd bar, which is on the 23rd floor of the inn including perspectives of the city.

Wow, what can I say about the Okura Hotel. Top class, and extremely luxurious would be a start. We booked an Executive Junior Suite at the Okura Hotel and were not disappointed in the slightest. From the moment we arrived, to the minute we left we were made to feel special. Every one of the staff members was courteous and you were never waiting more than a few moments for anything. Our room was one of the recently renovated Exec. Junior Suites, so it was fresh, clean and beautiful. The console to control lights, and curtains are great! Great to watch the sunset, or rise from bed and then open/close the curtains again before you get up! The location is also perfect, it's around a 3km walk from Dam Square, which we did most of the time. While it was raining though, we just used the Metro which is a five minute walk away from the hotel and will have you in the center in minutes. There is also a GVB tram stop outside the hotel. We made use of the rooftop cocktail bar on one night, while expensive - the cocktails were amazing and mixologists and bartenders were super friendly. The price, I guess, is to be expected in a five star hotel. We will definitely be returning in the future, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were made to feel special from the beginning. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.

The location is great, it is right on a quiet canal, so it was great to sit on outside and watch the boats go by. Close to trams, and good choice of places to eat nearby. We stayed in a corner room, which was quiet and provided lovely views of the city. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large. The pool and spa are lovely and well kept. Breakfast was included in our stay. The breakfast was great. A good selection of foods to choose from. The staff was very pleasant, and the rooms were well kept.

We were there as part of a business trip with many other colleagues and spouses from all over the world. The staff are all so helpful and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The room was large and we had a corner room overlooking the canal. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential part of the city so a tram or taxi into the center is necessary but very easy to do. Breakfast was excellent and we loved sitting out in the sunshine in the Serre restaurant sipping a chilled glass of rose watching the boats go by. Whilst we didn't eat in any of the Michelin starred restaurants in the hotel, we enjoyed a fantastic drinks reception and buffet (street food) on our first night. It was a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
