Bathrooms quite dated, but room was nice, all was very clean and none of the other stuff really mattered as it was all about the view anyway.
Oakwood was a favorite of mine but now its off that list unfortunately the service from staff has diminished, not to mention the unadvertised on the spot deposit now asked for at check in was not a good start to my stay. Neither was the empty mini fridge that once upon a time was filled with mini bar items no longer available in the studio rooms so I was also informed.
A glitch with the eftpos machine on check in, plenty of funds in our account, saw us being pushed aside to serve the customer behind first. No apologies when issue was sorted, just rude staff.
the location is great, the staff friendly, the room is OK, a little tired. the main two problems. the bed was very uncomfortable. Hard as a rock. the room was also very noisy. it was street level on the story bridge exit and could not sleep due to traffic noise from about 5am onwards.
