    Great Stay

Just returned from a 4 night girls only New York trip from the UK. We chose the The Westin New York at Times Square because of its close proximity to all the touristy things we wanted to do. It was definitely a good choice, the hotel was an oasis of calm in the mad but wonderful world of Times Square and Manhattan. The rooms were excellent spacious and clean, the beds were super comfortable and after a long day and night sight seeing and theater going we all slept like logs. I cannot comment about the food because we didn't partake as there are so many eating places in the vicinity of the hotel. The hotel is also in close proximity to the metro and bus station. which was a bonus to getting around the city. Staff were helpful the only down side was the daily struggle to re- register our Wi Fi account it is the only hotel I have stayed in which made the internet facility so difficult to log on to. But that apart the hotel was definitely a superb choice and contributed to our wonderful New York experience, I would gladly stay there again.

    Walking Distance of Everything

The rooms was spotless, and the bed was so comfortable. All of the staff was helpful and available when we needed anything. For our trip, we happened to arrive at a very busy time. Many people were checking in due to big events in the city, and others had been sent over from another hotel. There were lines to check in, and many people milling around the lobby area. We were anxious to check in, hoping to check in early before our show. Tracy was in the lobby checking in with many patrons, offering suggestions, and available to answer even the most basic questions and I had some basic ones. She assured us the line would move quickly, which it did, she checked in with us while we were in line, and once checked in , she gave us directions to our show. When we returned, we were surprised that she recognized us, and asked about our show. In passing, we mentioned that we were looking for tickets to a basket ball game, and Tracy and Chris (from the front desk) checked around for us. Later, we stopped in the lounge for a drink and Tracy checked in to offer suggestions on places we could watch the game. What a personal touch. She definitely helped to make our trip memorable. Room was clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. The bathroom amenities were well stocked. The coat hangers unfortunately were a little weak for a pair of jeans and one broke under the weight of a pair! The coffee machine is a little useless and you have to keep your finger held on it to brew an entire cup. Minibar is well stocked but as it's an automated fridge you cannot put anything personal in here, the cost is also very inflated. Good to have a safe in the room and unlike some hotels, there is no charge to use it. Television has a good array of channels although in this city I can't imagine needing it on often enough to watch much.

    Very Clean

The location was two blocks away from the theater. So the convenience was spectacular. The front desk clerk was very accommodating. I was upgraded to a higher floor with a better view without even asking. I was also given a complimentary cocktail which was nice, but I would recommend going for drinks elsewhere since there are many Irish Pub type of places nearby with much better food and drink prices. The room was very clean, and as always the bed was the so comfortable. I would recommend this location for higher scale getaway because it could be pricey for a family. But for two professional women who thought the convenience was worth everything, then this is your spot.
