About Iztacalco

A blend of history and modern attractions, Iztacalco is a prominent borough of Mexico City situated just east of the historic city centre. This former island community is remarked for its cozy tree-lined streets and ornately decorated cathedrals.

Things to do in Iztacalco

Take a trip back in time as you wander around the famous Constitution Square, also known as the Zócalo. The square contains the lavish Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral and the Tabernacle, with a white stone interior that serves as a stark contrast to the cathedral.
