About Jumeirah

Jumeirah is a pristine residential area situated on the coastline of Dubai. Three neighbourhoods divide the region into specific dwelling areas of varying architectural designs, respectively "Jumeirah 1", "Jumeirah 2" and "Jumeirah 3." The area is known for its trademark beaches and water activities.

One of the most exciting attractions in the region is the Wild Wadi Water Park, boasting wave pools, 17 water slides, and two surf simulation pools. The Park accommodates multiple dining areas and two gift shops. Popular rides include White Water Wadi, Jebel Lookout, and Wadi Leap. Another place to see is the Majlis Ghorfat Umm Al Sheif, a revered historical location that was once a Sheikh’s personal residence and is now preserved by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.

Public transportation is limited to bus Route J01 that connects the Jumeirah Village Circle to the Mall of the Emirates Station. By car, residents can enter the community via Al Khail Road or off of Shaikh Zayed Road. Many members of the community utilise carpooling options.

The earliest residents of the Jumeirah community were maritime traders, including pearl divers and fishermen. The community has since developed into one of Dubai’s most expensive areas to live.
