About Lake Arrowhead

Surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest, Lake Arrowhead is a waterfront community to the north-east of Los Angeles. It was known as “Little Bear Lake” until 1920 when the area was purchased by the Arrowhead Lake Company and transformed into one of the San Bernardino Mountains’ most popular holiday spots.

Spend an afternoon strolling the streets of Lake Arrowhead and the wide concrete pathway that rings the lakeshore. Browse the retail stores that line Lollipop Park Lane or coincide your visit with a summer performance at the Arrowhead Center Stage Concert Hall. If you’re travelling with kids, they’ll love the amusement rides of Lollipop Park.

Departing from Lake Arrowhead’s waterfront is the Lake Arrowhead Queen Boat Tour, which offers insight into the history of the region onboard a vintage paddle wheeler. Alternatively, you can take to the water while water skiing and power boating or cast a fishing line to see what’s biting. Canoes and kayaks are also available for exploring Lake Arrowhead at your leisure.

Lake Arrowhead is located along the 177-kilometre-long Rim of the World Scenic Drive, which hugs the crest of the San Bernardino Mountains. From Cajon Pass, it takes in the rugged beauty of San Gorgonio Mountain and the sprawling reservoir of Silverwood Lake, as well as the popular winter sports resort of Big Bear. If you prefer to explore on foot, follow the Seeley Creek Trail to aptly-named Heart Rock.
