The airport is a short distance from Marrakech historic centre. Air-conditioned buses operate twice an hour to Jemaa el-Fna, or accommodation stops can be requested. Visitors wishing to travel by taxi should walk to the car park outside the terminal for a metred or fixed fare. If travelling with hand luggage, it is possible to walk to the Medina of Marrakech in less than two hours.
