About Orebic

Orebic is a sun-drenched beach town set on the Pelješac Peninsula and surrounded by gorgeous beaches and rolling vineyards. Once a thriving port town, today Orebic is a sunseeker’s paradise. Many of the town’s handsome sea captains houses are reimagined as trendy bars, cafes, restaurants and hotels.

From strips of gold sand to arcs of silver pebbles, the beaches in Orebic are some of the best on the Dalmatian Coast. Mature pine trees frame Plaža Trstenica, one of the prettiest stretches of sand. The turquoise water is calm, clear and perfect for swimming.

Unlock spectacular views over the Pelješac Peninsula from the 960-metre-tall Mt Ilija. On clear days, the views stretch across the Adriatic Sea to Italy. If you’re not up for a hike, winery tours are a great way to enjoy the picturesque countryside. Try local varietals like Postup, a ruby-red wine with fruity aromas and a complex structure.

Getting there

Orebic is compact and easy to get around on foot. The town is a two-hour drive from Dubrovnik and 2.5 hours from Split. Local buses run between Dubrovnik and Orebic in around three hours. Daily ferries run between Orebic and Korčula Town on the other side of the Pelješac Strait.
