About Paronella Park

Discover a rare Spanish influence on Australia at the Heritage-listed Paronella Park, which was built back in 1930 by Spanish immigrant, José Paronella. Spread across five hectares, the Spanish residence is positioned beside Mena Creek Falls and features a range of lifestyle elements, including bridges, courts, a tunnel, tennis court and picnic area by the falls.

You can take a guided tour around Paronella Park to learn about the residence’s history and the stories behind the man who created it. You’ll also be surrounded by 7,500 tropical plants and trees that have created a verdant rainforest. Keep an eye out for native animals, such as yellow-bellied sunbirds, turtles, fish and green tree snakes.

During the day, you’ll be taken on a 45-minute tour through the park, while at night you can see the park’s numerous highlights illuminated by floodlights. The on-site Cafe on the Deck serves fresh sandwiches, wraps, cakes and fruit smoothies.
