Things to do in Saint Andrews
You'll find most of the action on Water Street, a bustling thoroughfare lined with cafes, restaurants and craft stores. From here it's an easy stroll across town to Katy's Cove, a sheltered beach fringed by soft sand and crystalline water.
Set just offshore, Minister's Island once served as a summer retreat for William Cornelius Van Horne, one of Canada's wealthiest entrepreneurs. Today you can visit Covenhoven, a lavish Edwardian villa flanked by tidal swimming pools. The island is also laced with scenic hiking trails.
Kids will love the colourful displays and underwater viewing windows at the Wild Salmon Nature Centre. It offers a fascinating introduction to Atlantic salmon, a species that can jump almost four metres high when swimming upstream. The Fundy Discovery Aquarium is another family-friendly attraction, home to Bay of Fundy creatures, including seahorses, seals and lobsters.

Getting around Saint Andrews
Saint Andrews is easy to get around on foot, especially around the Water Street district. Rental cars are best for exploring New Brunswick and the Bay of Fundy. The province is serviced by Saint John Airport, a 1.5-hour drive from Saint Andrews.
