Spend an afternoon wandering around Sejong to admire its newly-built architectural landmarks, with the book-shaped library a particular highlight. Stroll along the banks of the Geumgang River and across the spectacular Haknarae Bridge to admire the soaring modern skyscrapers.

Learn about the South Korean educational system at the one-of-a-kind Textbook Museum, which is situated inside the Nirae-N publishing factory. It also offers fascinating insight into the textbook publishing process.

Admire the works on display by local artists at the Sejong Culture & Arts Center, a multi-purpose space where changing exhibitions are held throughout the year. The complex also features a large theatre hosting regular traditional music and dance performances.

Swap the modern buzz of Sejong for the hiking trails of Mount Unjusan where the Unjusanseong Fortress holds a commanding position. Its three-kilometre-long outer stone wall stretches just beneath the summit, with excavations uncovering Baekje-era earthenware and tiles, as well as porcelain dating back to the Goryeo and Joseon periods.
