About Sutomore

Watching over Sutomore Beach are the remains of the Tabija Fortress, which was built by the Venetians in the 16th century atop Golo Brdo. The ruins can be accessed along a short trail that leads from the beach and offer magnificent views across the bay. Nestled at the base of Golo Brdo’s red cliffs is pebbly Devachen Beach, which can be reached by walking through the Sutomore Mountain Tunnel.

Sutomore is an ideal base for exploring the city of Bar, home to the elegant King Nikola’s Palace where folk costumes and historic artefacts are on display. Nearby is one of the world’s oldest olive trees, the beloved Stara Maslina, which has been in existence for more than two millennia.
