Things to do in Neihu District

Neihu District boasts some of the most beautiful public parks in South Korea. Stroll across the postcard-perfect footbridge in Dahu Park and admire the pastel-pink cherry blossom trees in Bihu Park. The grassy lawns are perfect for impromptu picnics.

Just north of Neihu District is Yangmingshan National Park, a pristine nature reserve laced with hiking trails. Work up a sweat on the hike up Mount Miantian and soak your tired muscles at Lenshuikeng hot springs. Other trails lead to cobalt-blue lakes and ancient stone buildings.

Bishan Temple is a serene Taoist temple set on the side of a mountain. It commands sweeping views over the surrounding landscape, including Liyu Mountain, the Tamsui River and emerald green rice fields. Up close you’ll notice the intricately carved wooden beams and enormous stone pillars.

Despite its proximity to the city centre, Neihu District has retained much of its rural charm. Spending an afternoon picking fruit at a local orchard is a great way to experience Taipei through a local lens. Fill your basket with strawberries, peaches and oranges.

Neihu District is packed with restaurants serving beef noodle soup, scallion pancakes and Taiwanese fried chicken. In addition to local restaurants, Neihu District will tempt you with its trendy cafes, pizzerias and burger joints.

Getting around Neihu District

Neihu District is served by the Neihu Line of Taipei Metro. Choose from several stations, including Donghu Station, Neihu Station and Huzhou Station. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is a 40-minute drive away.
